Robert A. Machado | CPM®, MPM®

Broker - Senior Advisor

President and owner of HRG Sacramento, Bob graduated from UC Berkeley “With Distinction” (1977) and has a degree in Economics. He holds the Certified Property Manager (CPM®, 1992) and Master Property Manager (MPM®, 1995) designations. Bob has been managing residential and commercial property in the Sacramento area since 1980 and is both an owner/investor and fee manager. Bob holds a California Brokers License (Lic No. 00691121).

Bob was born and raised in Sacramento and has lived in Sacramento most of his life. He attended and graduated from Kennedy High School (1972) and Sacramento City College (1974) earning an Associates Degree in Accounting.

Bob is a founding member of the local chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM®) and was its first president (1992). In addition to his local leadership, Bob is a past National President of NARPM® (1996-97) and served on the national board from 1992-1998. While on the national board he served as chair of Membership (1992-94), Finance (1994-95), Grievance (1994-95), Convention (1995-96), Nominations (1997-98), Vice President (1994-95), and President-Elect (1995-96). Bob is also a nationally qualified and recognized speaker for the association and teaches various property management topics and has authored several property management courses.

Bob and his wife Deborah have two sons, a daughter, and four grandchildren.

Shawn is a dynamic professional with extensive expertise in the property management industry. As a licensed California Real Estate Broker, Shawn brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. She possesses a deep understanding of the local real estate market, including property values, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements. Her 22 years of experience in the management of single family and multi family assets, coupled with a customer-centric approach, enable her to build long-lasting relationships with clients, residents and the larger real estate community.

Shawn is committed to delivering exceptional results while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Shawn is also a member in good standing with the California Association of Realtors as well as the National Association of Residential Property Managers.

Susan Spencer

Client Services

Susan began working in the California Rental industry in 2012, with another Property Management firm, then joined Home River Group in 2019 as an Assistant Property Manager, with a strong background in managing single family homes. Susan holds a degree in Landscape Architecture from UC Davis and her passions include growing orchids and beekeeping. Susan is a California native and is married with 2 grown sons.

Denise McCoy

Senior Property Manager

Denise McCoy started her property management career 26 years ago when she was hired as an entry level multi-family Leasing Agent for Avalon Bay Communities. In 2006, Ms. McCoy became a licensed Real Estate Sales Agent. During the downturn in the market in 2008, Denise shifted her focus to residential management. Since joining Homeriver in 2016, Denise continues to enhance her problem solving skills and improve communication across all channels. Denise's passion is grounded in her ability to maintain a mutually beneficial partnership between owners and tenants.

Tina McCardle

Senior Property Manager

Tina McCardle was a full time real estate agent before she joined HomeRiver Group in 2019 as Residential Property Manager. Tina speaks both English and Mandarin. She manages single family homes and residential multi family in the greater Sacramento area. Tina is an active member in the National Association of Residential Property Managers ( NARPM), a leader in residential property management, and serves in the NARPM Member Services Committee. Her goal is to serve and help provide resources for other residential property management professionals.
